I completed it, and mostly had fun. But just a few of the rooms were not fun, with the controls feeling like they were conspiring to steer my into spikes. In particular, getting through this room was a headache. About half the time I hit my head on the spikes at left while trying to make the first jump.

Also, for a while I thought I was supposed to progress by jumping up this shaft. Eventually I found there was a place open to me elsewhere in the map.

I like the use of a character who is less than 8×8 pixels, and you've avoided a lot of the things that make platform games feel cumbersome. This is the first cart released by your account, and an outstanding achievement.

You may feel like you just want to move onto a new project from here. But if you want to work further on Lil Red, it would be well served by having the main route to the sandwich be easier, but having some optional collectibles and put the 1-block width spike tunnels leading to those.

I really enjoyed it. The world is gorgeous. The controls and world layout made for a nice puzzle/challenge. I finished it in about 15 minutes and had lots of fun! Well done!

love the game

I love how much you did with such a small character, the animation is great.

The double jump is tricky to use properly but I can do it (with many failures) and complete the game.

Fun lil’ metroidvania!
The controls could be a bit hard to work with at times, that last double jump took me ages. I think it’s a cool concept for a form of spindle jump though.
I also was able to clip out bounds through certain corners but it didn’t really break much of the game for me. However, I’m sure some people will find ways to exploit it if they speed run it.

Played it through to the end. Loved it.

I found one bug... after you have collected the double-jump ability, when you jump and fall to your death, that previous jump is still remembered when you are revived which lets you jump much higher than you should be able to.

I really like the tumbnail
