I made the best version of PONG in Pico-8 that I could. I hope you enjoy!

More like you made the best version of PONG in Pico-8, period ! This game is simply charming, challenging in 1-player mode, and has a plethora of interesting options. Gold star work, @Niall Chandler !

I thought MOVEMENT SPEED was the ball, but no it's the player, so may I suggest you add an option.

BALL SPEED
[FIXED SLOW] where it is now.

Add to that:

[FIXED MEDIUM]
[FIXED FAST]
[INCREASES SLOWLY]
[INCREASES MEDIUM]
[INCREASES FAST]

So if the player chooses for instance, increases fast, then the longer the ball is in play, the faster it will go where only the most agile player via keyboard or mouse could hope to net 10-points before the computer does.

Also to have the computer opponent:
[EASY] where it is now.
[AVERAGE]
[HARD]

@dw817 Great suggestions! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
I actually did try to implement a CPU difficulty system, but since the computer moves in a fairly linear way, the only way to make it harder was to increase its speed. This resulted in the computer being really frustrating to play against though since you had to hit the ball with a level of precision that was just not very fun. Therefore, I decided to leave it as is since I'm satisfied with the way it behaves now.

DANG! I'm ditching my old pong machine. This is amazing! Stunning quality as always! Really well polished this time.
