A replica of the title screen of metroid for the NES.

History:

  • 0.1.4 - removed syncopation in the 6/8 section
  • 0.1.3 - pressing a button doesn't end the game (it was confusing)
  • 0.1.2 - finished 6/8 section
  • 0.1.1 - fixed some errors in the melody
  • 0.1.0 - initial version

To Do:

  • add texture to the ground
  • improve logo + animate
  • add stars
  • add emergency order

Don't take this negatively, I really dig this. But here is a list of things that I would add before calling it done. I would,
enlarge the logo to be able to replicate the original font better,
add an Isometric 3D effect to the logo,
add the pattern of the original to the ground and maybe parallax scroll that as a little pico-esque addition,
make the logo come in via a color palette shift as in the original
have all the other logo animations that are in the original
have stars in the background and animate those
have that emergency order text that's in the original cause it's silly and makes for a nice loop that you can go back to the logo coming in

okay I am done completely overwhelming you with stuff that you never intended to deal with. Really cool thing, wonder what gave you the idea to replicate this particular piece of video game, I'd definitely take it over a hello world! Keep it up!
