I seem to be suffering from a ~1 second delay whenever I press a key in Voxatron -- it happens in menus and in game, and running both the x86 and x86_64 versions.
Relevant info:

Anything which could be done to prevent this?
(Stray observation: took me about 5 minutes to find the "New Post" button here. The site is very pretty, but the icons are a bit inscrutable. Also, signing up for a new account works in Firefox but not Chromium.)
