Brand New to this software but here is my first test, I've made a little character :)

This is Ami. I want to turn her in to an Esper/Physic but for now I have only done her basic walk animation. Voxatron isn't exactly animator friendly but I enjoyed the challenge and had a lot of fun making her. I will develop her more but for now feel free to use this model.

OH does anyone know how to cancel the moving animation when the player stops? She freezes on whatever frame of the animation your in when moving and i want her to go back to frame one instead. I cant figure it out :\ Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Enjoy!

Thanks

I like it, but the animation feels a bit "jumpy" for my tastes. Otherwise it looks great.

Also, for the resetting animation. Try creating two animations: one that activates when the player presses any movement button (just changing the modifier for your current animation if fine), and one where the player isn't pressing any movement buttons.

Put both of them in the same group and make the "stop" animation take priority.

Make the "running" animation reset once the move button is pressed again (check the box that says reset on activation)

This is the best advice I can give you for the time being as I'm away from the computer that has voxatron on it.

Ah thank you andrew :) yeah I may have gone a little overboard with the bouncing haha.

I will try what you have suggested thank you very much for the help :)

Wow, this is super cute! Are you an animator outside of Voxatron? We don't really see a lot of people going in-depth with their animations around here. Like you said, it isn't exactly an animator-friendly program.

I'm not an animator in any sense, but I have a lot of fun animating in Voxatron.

Attached is my attempt to fix what you were having problems with. I also played around with a jumping animation using the frames you already made.
