For Ludum Dare 36! The theme is "ancient technology", though it didn't exactly take center stage here.

Tiny puzzle-platformer with some less common mechanics.

Once again, to fit within the compressed size limit, I had to strip out all the comments. :(

The game where it pays to die ! Umm ... hmm ... That can't be right. :)

While the music is umm ... simple, the game play is actually quite interesting. Later you get the levitation spell and it really helps while ... ???

Dude, XYZ ! Don't you feel a draft ?

Yay, I found the FLURRY and won the game. Those last 2-levels were very tricky !

Thanks! I'd never really made music before this weekend, so I'll gladly take "simple" over "terrible". :)

I don't think cloaks come with zippers!

This game is brillant! The mecanism is very interesting and original. It reminds me a bit of "Braid" even though it's different of course.

It's one of my favorite in Pico8 now!

I hope you'll score well on Lundumdare.
I think the music is simple, but it fits well the game atmosphere, don't change it!

(edit) I've just finished the game. What a great experience! This kind of game is perfect for the pico-8 platform in my opinion (or pico-8 is perfect for designing such games)!

Instead of the player dying, what you could do is set it so when the player pushes and holds DOWN, they teleport to their marker. No need to die.

In fact, you could penalize death by having to restart the room all over; no chance for 'resurrection.'

Also, I'm no seamstress but let me see if this is a bit better.

Even with comments taken out (not sure what you mean by that), this is very clever! Not monstrously impossible but you definitely have to think to get through it!

Agree with farvardin, the music fits and isn't "terrible" :)

this is such a cool concept! reminds me of one or two puzzles in vvvvvv but expanded upon.

a few notes on bugs or places i got stuck, hidden due to possible spoilers:

i think the big spike pit room's switch could be hinted better, e.g., by having a platform lead down to it. i discovered it by accident while playing in the spike pit (after discovering a probable bug; see the next point)

setting a spawn point at the right moment when hitting spikes means you can safely descend onto them. i used this to skip basically an entire puzzle.

i had a lot of trouble figuring out how to get on the revealed platform in the second-last chamber. eventually i found a video playthrough on twitter, which made it "obvious in retrospect", but otherwise i might have given up.
